    Trump Budget Would Fund New Veterans’ Cemetery in Queens

    President Trump’s budget includes funding to construct a cemetery in Queens for at least 50,000 veterans as part of a new effort to expand burial options in densely populated cities for families of service members, the New York Post reports.

    Legionnaires to Brief Legislators at 2018 Hill Day Event

    ALBANY — Legionnaires from across New York State will converge on Albany March 12 and 13 for The American Legion’s annual Hill Day to discuss veterans’ related legislation and meet with state legislators. Members of the Legion Auxiliary and Sons of the American Legion also will participate.

    Utica Post Hosts 2018 Dept. Bowling Tournament in April

    UTICA — The 69th annual American Legion Department of New York Bowling Tournament takes place over several weekends in April and May at Vista Lanes & Lounge in Yorkville (near Utica).

    Hosted by Utica Post 229, the Legion Family tournament is open to members of the Legion, the Legion Auxiliary, the Sons of the American Legion, and the Legion Riders. There are team events, and doubles and singles events. (Info and Forms)
