Department Convention

The 108th American Legion Department of New York Convention returns to Syracuse, New York, from July 16 to 18, 2026. This year, all three conventions—the American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary (booking link for auxiliary is below)and Sons of the American Legion—will be held at the Marriott Downtown Syracuse. We are grateful to the Marriott Downtown staff for helping make this possible.

Hotel Agenda DRAFT 4-3-26

This year’s convention activities include two Post Crawl events—one on Thursday, July 16 , and another on Friday, July 17 . Local VFWs are joining us to welcome Legionnaires to Syracuse, and we plan to start earlier in the afternoon. The Skaneateles Lake Cruise and Reception will take place on Friday, ending with a Cigar and Bourbon soiree at Skaneateles Post 239. Seating is limited for all of our events, so please RSVP by emailing onondagavets@gmail.com with your name and the event you’d like to attend.
