National Convention

The American Legion will hold its 105th National Convention in New Orleans, Louisiana – Aug. 21-29, 2024.

The American Legion’s largest annual meeting brings together all of its 55 departments – the 50 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, France, Mexico and Philippines.

The Department of New York hotel is the Doubletree, 300 Canal St New Orleans, LA 70130.

A few National Convention Dates & Information

• Friday, August 23, 2024 – Color Guard Competition at 4:00 PM.
• Saturday, August 24, 2024 – Competitive Concert Band Contest and Exhibition Concert Band performance. Contests will start at 1:00 PM.
• Sunday, August 25, 2024 – Patriotic Memorial Service starting at 11:00 AM.
• Also, we are working on a tentative evening event at the World War II Museum. Stay Tuned!!
• Tuesday, August 27, 2024 – National Commander’s Banquet.  Banquet tickets are $65.00 each. (On TAL-DNY Registration Form)
