W. Seneca, Saratoga Face Off for Championshp
UTICA — West Seneca Post 735 and the Saratoga Stampede were semifinal winners Friday and they will play in the championship game of the New York State American Legion Baseball Tournament on Saturday at Murnane Field in Utica.
West Seneca Post 735 continued its winning streak Friday, keeping Rockland OTB Pirates Post 130 at bay with a 4-1 win in the tournament’s 4th round. West Seneca is now 4-0, and Rockland, 2-2.
In the second game, Saratoga Stampede defeated Brooks Shepard Post 765 of Fairport, 5-3. Saratoga is now 3-1 and Brooks Shepard, 2-2.

2nd Junior Round Eliminates All But Rockland and Saratoga
ROME — William Russell Post 404 of Vernon downed Clinton County Mariners, 9-3, in the second round of the New York State American Legion Junior Baseball Championships today (July 31). The win eliminated the Mariners from the tournament, being held at Delutis Field in Rome.

Rockland, Saratoga Win Jr. Tournament’s First Round
ROME — The New York State American Legion Junior Baseball Championships got underway with two games Thursday evening at Dilutis Field in Rome, with Rockland OTB Pirates Post 130 of Stony Point defeating Clinton County Mariners, 14-4 (in five innings), and Saratoga Stampede downing William Russell Post 404 of Vernon, 6-1.
Those four teams continue play today (Friday), with the finalists vying for the title on Saturday.

Brooks Shepard, Maine-Endwell & W. Seneca Take 2nd Wins, Saratoga Grabs 1st
UTICA — Brooks Shepard Post of Fairport put players on base in the 4th and 7th innings to drive in 5 runs, beating Clinton County Mariners, 5 to 2, in the first game of the second round of the New York State American Legion Baseball Championships at Utica’s Murnane Field (Donovan Stadium) Wednesday.

4 Back-to-Back Games in Opening Round
UTICA — The opening day of the New York State American Legion Baseball Championships featured four back-to-back games at Murname Field’s Donovan Stadium in Utica. The opening round went into the evening, with a hot sun beating down on most of the day’s play.
West Seneca Post, Maine-Endwell Post, Brooks Shepard Post and Rockland OTB Pirates were the victors.
