    Watch Legion World Series Live

Baseball fans can watch the 2014 American Legion Baseball World Series live, thanks to a new agreement with ESPN.

ESPN3.com is livestreaming all games from Aug. 14-18. Viewers can go to espn.go.com from a computer or mobile device and select the American Legion World Series game to watch.

The ALWS championship game will be on Aug. 19, which will be televised live by ESPNU. To accommodate the championship game TV coverage, the ALWS tournament schedule has changed from a double elimination format to pool play.

With the pool play format, each team is guaranteed to play up to three games. There will be two pools (A and B) of four teams each; the teams play each other in their respective pools Aug. 14-17. The semifinals are Aug. 18 in which the winner of Pool A plays the runner-up of Pool B and the winner of Pool B plays the runner-up of Pool A. The two overall winners play in the ALWS championship game.

The schedule for the World Series can be found here: www.legion.org/documents/legion/pdf/2014_alws.pdf

The 5-year contract with ESPN will expand the viewership of the American Legion World Series to nearly 80 million viewers. Before this year, the last time a Legion World Series championship game was live on TV was 35 years ago in Greenville, Miss.
