VETS4VETS An All-Day Event at Binghamton Post 1645
VETS4VETS — an all day event to raise money for wounded warriors – takes place Saturday, April 25 at American Legion Post 1645 at 177 Robinson St. in Binghamton.
The day kicks off with a Chicken BBQ at 11 a.m. and an American Legion Riders “Ride In” at noon. ($8 cost for BBQ.)
Companion dog demonstrations (Hounds Helping Heroes) will be held at 1, 2 and 3 pm.
A spaghetti dinner program from 4 to 7 will feature remarks by Afghanistan veteran Army Capt. Kevin O’Reilly, commander of the 827th Engineering Company in the 204th Army National Guard Engineering Battalion. O’Reilly will speak at 4:15, followed by dinner at 4:30. ($10 dinner cost.)
The day also will feature drawings, give-aways, silent auctions, and will conclude with musical entertainment from 7 to 9.
VETS4VETS will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project and is being co-sponsored by Rocco J. Testani Inc. and Maines Food & Party Warehouse.
