Veterans Gather to Honor Pearl Harbor Fallen
Marking the 74th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor, veterans across the state gathered with community leaders and patriots to pay homage to all those lost on Dec. 7, 1941.
Like those participating in the annual remembrance in Greene County (see photo below), the veterans represented the American legion, Am-Vets, VFW, Viet Nam Veterans Association, and Marine Corp League, reports Third District Membership Coordinator and Department Law-and-Order Chair Tim Burch.
“On a cold and foggy morning in Athens, New York, those in attendance came together to remember those who still live on in our hearts and minds,” Burch noted. “The gathering marking this special day in history reminds us all of the sacrifice and commitment our soldiers in uniform continue to make each and every day.”
