  Convention Updates: Horse Therapy Demo at Dept Convention; Nat’l Housing Form Posted

  The registration/housing form for the National Convention in Indianapolis is now available.

  A horse therapy demonstration will take place during the Department Convention in Buffalo on Friday, July 19, at Buffalo Downtown Canalside (waterfront area near Naval Park), reports Convention Chairman Jim Bojanowski.

  The demonstration will be performed by the National Educational Institute of Growth through Horses (N.E.I.G.H.) (www.theneigh.org).

  “Their goal is to bring the horse therapy to those in need (VA facilities, bases, and others),” Bojanowski noted. “Our veterans will travel as needed with the horses all over the country to help make mental health less of a stigma. I had the pleasure of personally visiting their facility for a demonstration located at Homestead Stables in Gerry, NY.”
