  Legion Riders Sponsoring Benefit Runs

  The American Legion Riders Chapters are sponsoring or participating in a series of events over the next few months.

  Norwich 10th Annual Benefit Run, Saturday, May 16 at Norwich American Legion Post 189. Registration starts at 10; kickstands up at 11. Fun stops and surprises. Prizes and awards. Event benefits Landstuh Hospital Care Project; sponsored by Riders Chapter 189.

  Ulster County 11th Annual Poker Run, Sunday, May 17, registration 8 to 11 a.m., at McDonalds on Rte 9W in Highland, NY, sponsored by Ulster County Riders Chapter 1298. Live entertainment, door prizes, refreshments. Proceeds benefit Samaritan Village and Post 193 Flag Fund. Free pins for first 200 registrants.

  Vet Fest and Flag Day Ceremony, Saturday, June 20 at Hannibal American Legion Post 1552. Event begins Friday, June 19, with music and food, and features a Vet Fest ride (11 a.m.), music, food and drawings on Saturday.

  7th Annual Vietnam Veterans Memorial Highway of Valor Tribute Ride, Saturday, July 11. Ride begins at 10 a.m. at Owego Free Academy, Owego, and continues to Groton American Legion Post 800, then to the homes of two Medal of Honor recipients, and finally to Hannibal Legion Post 1552.

  2nd Legacy Scholarship Charity Ride in Norfolk, NY, Saturday, July 11. Ride starts at 11 a.m. at Norfolk Post 925, with games and food at the post after the ride ends. Sponsored by Norfolk Legion Riders Chapter.
