  Legion Riders: From Blahs Party to Tribute and Charity Rides

  The American Legion Riders Chapters are sponsoring or participating in a series of events over the next few months.

  Mid-Winter Blahs Party, 7 to 11 p.m., Valentine’s Day, Saturday, Feb. 14, at Horseheads American Legion Post 442, with music by “Steve Southworth and the Rockabilly Rays”; sponsored by Riders Chapter 442.

  4th Annual Motorcycle Swap Meet & Gun Raffle Drawing, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, March 21, at Horseheads American Legion Post 442; sponsored by Riders Chapter 442.

  Vet Fest and Flag Day Ceremony, Saturday, June 20 at Hannibal American Legion Post 1552. Event begins Friday, June 19, with music and food, and features a Vet Fest ride (11 a.m.), music, food and drawings on Saturday.

  7th Annual Vietnam Veterans Memorial Highway of Valor Tribute Ride, Saturday, July 11. Ride begins at 10 a.m. at Owego Free Academy, Owego, and continues to Groton American Legion Post 800, then to the homes of two Medal of Honor recipients, and finally to Hannibal Legion Post 1552.

  2nd Legacy Scholarship Charity Ride in Norfolk, NY, Saturday, July 11. Ride starts at 11 a.m. at Norfolk Post 925, with games and food at the post after the ride ends. Sponsored by Norfolk Legion Riders Chapter.
