Legion Members to Converge on Albany for Hill Day
Members of The American Legion from across the state will converge on Albany on Tuesday, March 1, for the Legislative Hill Day, to be briefed on veterans legislative issues and to meet with their state legislators from the Assembly and Senate.
Sponsored by The American Legion Department of New York, Hill Day consists of several key events:
1. A Legislative Committee meeting at 7 p.m. Feb. 29, on the eve of Hill Day, at the Desmond Hotel and Conference Center, where veterans legislative issues will be reviewed and discussed.
2. Legislative Breakfast with state legislators, from 8 to 10 a.m., March 1, in Meeting rooms 2, 3 & 4 of the Empire State Plaza.
3. Following breakfast, there will be a Veterans Legislative Rally and Legion Family members will visit the offices of their state legislators to talk up veterans’ concerns.
