  Legion College for Auxiliary, SAL, Riders, Too

  American Legion College of New York is now American Legion Family College.

  It is open to members of the Legion, the Auxiliary, the Sons of the American Legion, and Legion Riders.

  The class of 2017 convenes June 2, 3 and 4 at Morrisville State College (SUNY Morrisville).

  Legion College is a three-day immersion into American Legion programs and structure, and issues facing the largest veterans’ service organization in the country. The college fosters leadership skills of Legion Family members as they work in teams to solve problems they may face in their home post, unit, squadron or chapter. The curriculum covers an array of topics, such as leadership and communication; Americanism, children and youth; MyLegion.org; legislation; constitution and bylaws; duties of local officers; media relations; membership.

  Applications are due by April 1, 2017 and should be sent to Dean Tim Collmer, 8968 Creek Rd., Nunda, NY 14517.
