Homecoming Dinner for V. James Troiola
ALBANY — A Homecoming Dinner in honor of National Vice Commander V. James Troiola will be held on Saturday, March 4, at Joseph E. Zaloga Post 1520, 4 Everett Road Extension, Albany.
The 6 p.m. dinner will follow a 5 p.m. cocktail hour. See poster and reservation card.
Dinner choices are roast beef or chicken breast. Tickets cost $50. Housing will be available at the Desmond Hotel, with roundtrip transportation provided.
To make a reservation to attend the dinner, return the reservation card with check made out to American Legion Department of New York, to Department Headquarters at 112 State Street, Suite 1300, Albany, NY 12207.
A life member of American Legion Post 1682 in New City, NY, Troiola is a U.S. Navy veteran and a past department commander. He has held various positions at every level of The American Legion. He is chairman of the New York American Legion Centennial Task Force for the Future and is a member of the faculty of The American Legion College of New York. At the national level he served as a member of the Membership and Post Activities Committee and the National Security Commission before being elected national vice commander at the 2016 national convention in Cincinnati.
Troiola is retired from Estate Motors Mercedes-Benz where he was the director of Service and Parts Operations. He is married to Saveria (Savy) T. Troiola. They have two grown children and two grandchildren.
