Hannibal Riders to Host Vet Fest June 17

HANNIBAL, NY — Hannibal American Legion Riders Chapter is hosting a Vet Fest Saturday, June 17, 2017 as a Department of New York “Ride In” event, state Legion Riders Secretary Leonard Misczuk announced.

    All Legion Riders are invited.

The fest features a ride to various Legion Posts in the tri-county area, with registration 9 to 10:30 a.m. and kickstands up at 11 a.m. sharp. The $20 per person fee includes a chicken barbecue on return to Hannibal Legion Post 1552. There will be a flag day ceremony and watchfire at dusk.

He encouraged participants to bring non-perishable food items to give to Blue Star Mothers of America to help feed needy vets.

Bands will provide musical entertainment both Friday evening, June 16, and Saturday evening. There will be raffles, food and vendors, along with “primitive camping” available on the Post grounds.
