    SAUGERTIES — Tournament MVP Maxwell Schmarder drove in three runs, including the go-ahead score in the sixth inning, to lead Hamburg Post 527 to a second consecutive New York State American Legion Senior Baseball championship July 28 at Cantine Veterans Memorial Complex (known as Cantine Field).

    Hamburg erased a 9-3 deficit to win the championship with a 13-9 triumph over Smith Post 24 of Rome, adding to the title it won in 2019 — the last time the tournament was held.

    • 3rd Dist Representative: Schenectady County Indians 

    • 4th Dist Champion: Clinton County Mariners Post 1619

    • 5th Dist Champion: Smith Post 24 

    • 6th Dist Champion: Oneonta Post 259 Green Wave 

    • 7th Dist Champion: Rayson Miller Post 899 

    • 8th Dist Champion : Hamburg Post 527 

    • 9th Dist Champion: Rockland Post 130 Pirates Black
