    Department Commander to Lead 10th Annual Legacy Ride

    The 10th Annual Legacy Run sponsored by Amsterdam Post 71 American Legion Riders will be held rain or shine on Sunday, May 22, with Department Commander James Yermas leading the ride.

    Registration starts at 10 a.m., with a cost of $20 per rider or $35 per couple, at Saw Mill Tavern, 501 South Avenue, Schenectady.

    With kick stands up at noon, the ride stops at Albany VA Medical Center for a visit with veterans there before continuing on John Wyszomirski Post 701 at 123 W. Main Street, Amsterdam, where food and beverages will be available along with music provided by a DJ.

    The ride raises money for the American Legion Legacy Scholarship Fund, which provides scholarships to children of fallen U.S. service members.
