    Commander Throws First Pitch to Adjutant at Mets Game

    It was an American Legion Centennial kickoff to July 5’s game at Citi Field with the New York Mets.

    Several Legionnaires were on hand to accept the New York Mets’ Spirit Award, and Department Commander Gary Schacher threw the ceremonial first pitch to Department Adjutant Jim Casey. The Legion leaders extended a special thank-you to Post 1006 of Brentwood for providing the Color Guard.

    Legion Family members can attend a Yankees game on July 14.
