    Commander Honors Chenango Co. Veteran

    NORWICH — New York State American Legion Commander Kenneth Governor visited the Legion Family in Chenango County Nov. 22, and honored retired Navy veteran Patricia (PJ) Cobb, a member of Lt. Warren E. Eaton American Legion Post 189 in Norwich.

    Governor presented the Department Commander’s Award of Excellence to Cobb, citing her commitment to helping veterans. She is a former vice commander and treasurer of her post, the liaison to the Legion Auxiliary, a past county commander and current county treasurer. She is a gift shop volunteer at the State Veterans Home in Oxford and secretary for the volunteer guild there.
