    Commander Cites Putnam County Post for Tornado Relief

    MAHOPAC — New York State American Legion Commander Kenneth Governor visited the Legion Family in the Putnam County Nov. 14, and honored Mahopac American Legion Post 1080 for its efforts to provide tornado relief.

    Governor presented the Department Commander’s Award of Excellence to Mahopac Post 1080, noting post members raised funds and supplies, and delivered them to tornado-struck Joplin, MO. Post Commander Anthony Pelliccio accepted the award on behalf of the post.
