Mid-Winter Conference Update
ALBANY — The American Legion Department of New York Mid-Winter Conference gets underway Friday, Jan 25, at the Desmond Hotel and Conference Center, and runs through Sunday, Jan. 27.
An updated conference agenda is now available. The public relations sessions scheduled for 9 and 10 a.m. Saturday feature “beginning social media” and “advanced social media”, respectively.

Commander, Legion Family Help Lay 12,000 Wreaths at Saratoga
New York State American Legion Commander Gary Schacher and a contingent of Legionnaires and Legion Riders joined some 2,000 volunteers at Saratoga National Cemetery on Dec. 15 to lay wreaths on the graves of veterans as part of Wreaths Across America Day. (See Wreaths Across America Reflection.)“It was such an HONOR to participate with laying wreaths,” said Commander Schacher. “It was great to see such a huge crowd of volunteers expressing appreciation and remembrance during the holiday season to those that served our Country,,. We will never forget.” -

Mid-Winter Conference Agenda Available
The tentative agenda for the Mid-Winter Conference is now available.
The conference takes place Jan. 25-27, 2019 at the Desmond Hotel and Conference Center in Albany (Colonie). It features meetings Friday afternoon and evening, seminars Saturday morning and afternoon, and a closing general session Sunday morning. Saturday evening boasts a musical reception and banquet.
