‘Project 22’ Promotes Suicide Awareness, Assistance
The New York State Police and State University at Albany are sponsoring a theatrical screening of “Project 22” April 28 to bring awareness of the suicide epidemic among military veterans – and to show support for veterans and their families.
The screening and information event takes place 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday, April 28, in the second floor Ballroom in the Campus Center at State University at Albany.
The intent is “to bring veterans, family and community to one large location and provide information,” notes Trooper Juanita Salas-Jackson, military liaison with the State Police. “…We are hoping that veterans from local American Legions will attend.”
