NY Dept. Presents $8,000 for Legacy Scholarship

CHARLOTTE — The Department of New York presented an $8,000 donation to National Commander Daniel Dellinger during the 96th National Convention Aug. 26 to help provide scholarships to the children of U.S. service members who are killed while serving their country.

The donation to the Legacy Scholarship Fund was presented by 2013-2014 Department Commander Kenneth Governor, current Department Commander Frank Peters and past department commander’s aide Don Linborg.

This brings New York’s contribution to the fund to nearly $11,000 for the past year, Governor noted.
