Norfolk Riders Plan Charity Ride in July to Benefit Ft. Drum Vets

NORFOLK, NY — The American Legion Riders of John Adams Jr. Post 925 in Norfolk will host their 14th annual motorcycle charity ride on Saturday, July 13, 2019. Proceeds of the 2019 Ride will benefit the 10th Mountain Division/Fort Drum Wounded Warrior Fund, a non-profit organization that assists Fort Drum veterans.

The ride will begin at the Norfolk American Legion Post located at State Route 56 and High Street. All riders will depart from the post and later return to the post for an “end of the ride” meal and festivities. There will be several stops at local veterans’ organizations. Registration is from 9 to 10:45 a.m., with kickstands up at 11 a.m.

After the ride, there will be raffles, 50-50, and a poker hand, as well as prizes.

“We will once again be holding our famous tavern ham and salt potato buffet dinner at the end of the ride,” Riders Chapter President Thomas Morrison noted. Donation is $20 per bike or $10 for just the dinner.
