  Vestal Post Is NY Junior Champion

  UTICA – Vestal Post 89 is New York American Legion’s Junior Baseball Champion.

  Vestal defeated Oneida Post 169, 3-1, in the title game of the Junior State Tournament, held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Murnane Field’s Donovan Stadium in Utica.

  The teams advanced to the championship game after rising to the top in the Junior Tournament held Thursday and Friday at Delutis Field in Rome. Other junior teams in the tournament were Fort Orange Post 30, Clinton County Mariners, Middletown Post 151 and Love Post 406.
