Randall Fisher Is Featured Guest at Mid-Winter Conference
ALBANY — A future national American Legion commander – Randall Fisher of Kentucky – was the featured guest at the Department of New York’s Mid-Winter Conference.
The leading candidate to head the Legion in the 2021-22 year, Randall addressed the conference banquet Saturday, March 25, at the Desmond Hotel and Conference Center.
The banquet and a reception featuring the American Legion Yankee Doodle Band capped a day of meetings and seminars on veteran’s issues and a host of Legion programs.

Veteran’s Issues Top of Mind at Mid-Winter Conference
ALBANY – Hundreds of wartime veterans are converging on Albany this weekend (Friday evening through Sunday morning, Jan. 24-26) for The American Legion New York State Mid-Winter Conference, being held at the Desmond Hotel and Conference Center. Concurrent conferences are being held in Albany by the American Legion Auxiliary and the Sons of the American Legion.
They are discussing veteran’s issues and a host of American Legion programs for veterans, families, children and youth as well as other topics.
A special guest speaker is Randall Fisher of Kentucky, a leading candidate for national American Legion commander for 2021-22.

Legionnaires from across New York State will converge on Albany Feb. 24 and 25 for The American Legion’s annual Legislative Hill Day to discuss veteran-related legislation and meet with state legislators.

Mid-Winter Conference Agenda Features Seminars, Banquet, Yankee Doodle Band
The updated agenda for the Mid-Winter Conference is now available.
The conference takes place the weekend of Jan. 24-26 at the Desmond Hotel and Conference Center, 660 Albany Shaker Road, Albany.
It features seminars and meetings providing information and updates on a host of Legion topics.
A reception featuring The American Legion Yankee Doodle Band will precede Saturday’s banquet.
