NY Legion Issues Support for Alternative PTS Therapy

The American Legion Department of New York today issued a Memorandum of Support for an alternative non-drug therapy to treat Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS) in military veterans.

Addressed to New York Governor Andrew M. Cuomo, Senate Majority Leader John J. Flanagan and Assembly Speaker Carl E. Heastie, the memorandum asks New York to keep the state in the forefront of PTS research, training and treatment by providing funding for the Research and Recognition Project.

The Corning, NY-based project has demonstrated the effectiveness of the RTM (Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories) Protocol in several clinical trials. The memorandum cites “an effective rate approaching 96% and permanently removes the impacts of the traumatic event(s).”
