2 NY Donations for Operation Comfort Warriors

The American Legion’s Operation Comfort Warriors, which provides comfort supplies and equipment to wounded warriors, received a boost from the Department of New York Aug. 28 when Department leaders presented another check to outgoing National Commander Daniel Dellinger.

The $2,423.64 donation brought New York’s total contribution for the past year to $88,552, noted immediate Past Department Commander Kenneth Governor, who made the check presentation with Department Commander Frank Peters.

But that’s not all. Richard Calbo and Howard Heyel also presented Dellinger with a check for Operation Comfort Warriors on behalf of Capt. Oliver C. Chase Post 274 in Peekskill, NY — in the amount of $7,500.
